Hello Spartan Families, 

We have made it to the final three days of the school year and look forward to celebrating our seniors this Friday at the Commencement Ceremony. This has been a spectacular year of teaching and learning and celebrations. We end the year with a great celebration- Our Varsity Boys' Soccer Team are state champions!
We wish everyone a safe and restful summer! 

Parents, please be reminded that there will be no early check outs on the last 3 days of school due to finals and the students get out at 11:30.

Please note the temporary road closure next week. Please read the post above.

If you have a student who will be withdrawing, please have them return their school laptop device and library books to the Learning Commons before withdrawing or before the end of the school year. This will expedite the withdrawal process.

Our College and Career Counselors, Ms. Young and Ms. Diaz-Brown are continuing to meet and work with our students. They are located in the offices across from the counseling office which is down the hall from the cafeteria.

Campbell News

Three ways students may access books to read this summer:

  • CHS Learning Commons:  Students returning to Campbell HS next year are encouraged to checkout CHS library books before the last day of school this semester to read over the summer break.  Books will be due when school begins in August!   
  • SORA website or App:  Students also have access to eBooks and Audiobooks by accessing the SORA website using their school laptop, or the App on their phone.  Sora – Campbell Commons
  • Cobb Public Library:    Library Locations | Cobb County Georgia  Branches have programs for teens!  All Cobb students already have a virtual library card -- Cobb Public Library PASS – Campbell Commons that they can use online or in person at any Cobb Public Library branch.  
 

Registration is Open: Vision To Learn Summer Break 2025 at Cobb Libraries-Nine Cobb County Public Library locations will serve as sites for Vision To Learn mobile clinics in June and July to provide eye exams and glasses – free of charge – for children ages 5-18. The national nonprofit Vision To Learn has visited Cobb libraries since 2018 to serve children in need of vision care and glasses. Cumberland Community Church will be a Must Ministries summer lunch location again this year.  On Wednesday’s parents are able to pick up week long lunch & breakfast kits for all children under the age of 18.  No pre-registration needed. There is a flyer below. 

 

The Must Ministries Neighborhood Food Pantry would like to extend an invitation to all CHS families who may be interested in receiving support from the monthly food distribution. If you would like to register for this program, please email lara.fain@cobbk12.org for more information.

Summer School Information- Three Attachments Below

Attached is the flyer for the CCSD HS Summer School Credit Recovery Program.

  • CHS students will attend Wheeler HS
  • Up to 1.0 credit recovery course
  • Cost= FREE! (includes breakfast and lunch)
  • Transportation is provided from CHS to WHS. They do not pick up from student’s houses for summer school!
  • Students must attend all day, every day, unless they complete the course.
  • Families must attend Parent Orientation- dates and times listed on flyer.
  • Registration opens March 1 in PARENTVUE. Parents register students for credit recovery course.
  • Credit recovery ONLY, courses offered are attached!

IB News


Thank you to Mrs. Papa and her team - Mrs. Kent, Mrs. Mirsalimi, Mrs. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Whaley, Mrs. Virani, Mrs. Leary, and Mrs. Denoziere and other volunteers who helped pull off a wonderful IB Medal Ceremony to celebrate our seniors on Saturday. 

Senior Parents: Thank you for celebrating with us yesterday! Congratulations to Morgan McLean and Caden Kralicek on your scholarships. The pictures and video will be sent out on Friday. 
Most seniors have finished their exams, with only IB Chemistry and HL Applications on Monday and Wednesday. 

Juniors: Great job to the IB Spanish students for sitting for their first IB exam. You were wonderful. IB French students will report to 3230 on Tuesday and Wednesday for their exam. Reminder: Rising Senior parent meeting is Monday, 5/19. A link will be sent through Remind. Parents and students are expected to attend. 

Important for ALL grade levels: 
  • Check out the information on supporting students with testing anxiety in our IB Insights slide deck that was sent through Remind on 4/17. Lots of great tips from Dr. Bartolomucci on how to support your student, especially during testing season. 
  • Remember that students must make certain grades per the magnet contract. Probation or dismissal letters are sent at the end of the year. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Attention Senior Families!!

Senior Graduation Practice:

 

There are TWO MANDATORY graduation practices ALL seniors participating in the ceremony MUST attend. Tuesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 22nd from 8:30-11:30 am in the Gwyn-McClure (New) Gym. Seniors will receive graduation tickets at the second practice on Thursday, May 22nd.

Seniors, be sure to remove all files from your OneDrive account before graduation. You will have access to Cobb Office 365 for 90 days after the last day of school, May 21, 2025. After 90 days, your Cobb student account will be removed from the system.

Employees leaving Cobb County Schools have access to Office 365 until the last date of their contract (May 23, 2025) and at that point their account will be removed from the system.

Commencement Tickets


Seniors can log into their student portal to see how many tickets they have received for the 2025 Commencement Ceremony. Students can access their student portal using the following web address: https://studentportal.cobbk12.org. At this time, there are no additional ticket requests. IF additional tickets are available, a lottery system will used, and graduates will receive any additional tickets when graduation tickets are given out at the May 22nd graduation practice. Senior Walks
Class of 2025 - Get ready for your upcoming Senior Walks at your elementary school and middle school! Importantmost schools require you to RSVP and show up EARLY! They will start without you. See each school's website for RSVP and other information. See graphic below for approximate times, but check each school's website for exact times!


Campbell’s Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2025 will take place on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the KSU Convocation Center. Seniors should log into their student portal to request tickets for the commencement ceremony. Instructions to request tickets are attached below. Please note that this is a request and not a guarantee that the number of tickets requested will be honored due to the capacity limits and the size of the senior class.
