Summer School Opportunities

2021 HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER
CREDIT RECOVERY PROGRAM

May 5 - June 11	Online Registration. Registration will close at midnight on June 11, 2021
June 15	Orientation Sessions Orientation sessions from the Summer School administration and teachers will be held for all participating students AND parents.
June 16 - July 1 10 days Monday - Thursday 9am - 3pm	Three Models of Instructions: Face to Face(FTF): Teachers and Students meet every day on site. Hybrid: Teacher and students meet face to face 2 days/week. Students work asynchronously in GradPoint 2 days/ week Remote: Students work with teachers Synchronously through a Remote setting in combination with students working asynchronously in Gradpoint.
July 7-8	End of Course Tests EOC for Algebra 1, American Lit, Biology and US History

Other Important Information

Cost
- For credit recovery of available courses (see link to list below) taken during the 2020-21 school year, there is NO FEE for families.
- For other credit recovery of available courses taken outside the 2020-21 school year the cost is $275 per half-credit.
- Students taking courses for initial credit should register through Cobb Virtual Academy. Tuition is required for initial credit courses.
Transportation
- Bus transportation will not be provided to HS Summer School students. If transportation is required, students can participate in Summer Learning Quest through the remote environment.
Courses Available
- Students can take up to 2 course credits during Summer Learning Quest. Students must complete 1 course before beginning a 2nd course.
- A priority will be placed on ELA and Math courses.

Attendance
- Attendance is mandatory. Students who miss more than 2 days of instruction will be dropped from Summer School.
Sites
- HS Summer Learning Quest will be offered at multiple sites across the district.
