Cobb Schools' Athlete of the Week (AOW) program is a weekly recognition of a male and a female student-athlete that perform at high levels in their sport, in the classroom, and in their school communities. The program is made possible by support from BSN Sports.

This week's winners are a volleyball player from Campbell and a football player from Kell.

Lillian Rowley, Campbell, Volleyball

She has been a starter for the Spartans for three years, as well as playing club ball. As a senior captain for the team, Lillian brought her work ethic and competitive spirit to help her team to play hard through the Region tournament and the first round of the state playoffs. As a student in the International Baccalaureate Magnet program, she is dedicated to success in all areas of her life.

"Lillian has been a cornerstone of the Campbell Volleyball team since joining her sophomore year," said her coach Cory Barrow. "She leads by example and is always looking for ways to improve individually as well as serving and supporting her team. Her journey on the team perfectly represents this as she has been the utility player filling any gaps and needs for us and covering just about every position."

"She is dedicated to anything she does. Lillian has mastered the ability to prioritize her schoolwork as an IB student as well as anything needed for volleyball, including practice, weight training, games, team bonding, and more. She is an accountable and dependable teammate whether it be business on the court or just being a good friend to her peers. She is dedicated to the success of this team," concluded Coach Barrow proudly.

Tyshawn Natt, Kell, Football

As a junior on an experienced team, Tyshawn has become the defensive leader for the Longhorns. He had 11 tackles, with three for losses, and two sacks in Kell's victory over Cambridge. His impressive night helped to bolster his even more impressive numbers so far on the season of 60 tackles, 8 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery. He has also contributed to the scoreboard for the Longhorns with a safety and a touchdown.

"Tyshawn is an incredible football player and person. He is the leader of our defense and works harder than anyone," said Head Coach Bobby May. "He has been playing football since he was 7, and he will also be a member of the lacrosse team this year. His teammates love his work ethic and personality."

"As an AD, it's so great to see an athlete take so much pride in what he is doing," agreed Kell Athletic Director Jeff Burch. "Tyshawn is one of the hardest working athletes in the building and always does so with a smile on his face. Even more impressive is that he is a leader to the other athletes on a defense that is loaded with senior talent."
