Color Battle Returns to McClure
Dear Maverick families,
Thank you for your support of McClure Middle School and the investments you make in your children’s lives. We’re so excited to introduce you to this year’s major fundraising initiative: the McClure MS Color Battle 2024, which will start Tuesday, September 3rd, and end on Friday, September 13th, with the Color Battle Event.
Students will then be challenged to get donations over two weeks from family and friends to help our school. Funds raised will be used towards PBIS (Positive Behavior, Intervention and Support). We’ll end the 2-week fundraiser with a celebratory Color Battle event for students who participate in the fundraiser (think of field games, lots of color powder, participant t-shirts, loud music, high energy, and FUN!).
All students can participate in the activities throughout the two weeks. To be a part of the Color Battle, a minimum of $30 raised for the school is needed.
You can help make our Color Battle Fundraiser successful by connecting your student to potential donors (family/friends) to acquire donations. Every student will receive a unique Access Code that will grant access to their own donation page. The more the word gets out, the more donations we will likely be able to gather for our school.
During the two weeks of the fundraiser, students will learn how to navigate their donation page so they can input phone numbers and emails of people they know. Daily challenges will be given (classroom and individual) to reward students that participate in the process of sharing the school’s donation page with the world. Any information collected is encrypted and protected by law, being used for the sole purpose of promoting this amazing initiative. Being a student-led fundraiser, this will also be a great opportunity to teach the students the concept of accountability: by actively helping out, they will be able to enjoy the benefits of the funds gathered for their own school.
Thank you again for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Cory Stanley, Principal
