Our Four Words

McClure opened with a vision of being a strong school with a sense of community and purpose. Ms. Susan Wing, our founding principal, built that vision around the four words that greet every visitor to our front office. The words were shared with our new staff and students even before the school opened, instilling in them a sense of responsibility and commitment. The four words are instructions on what it means to be a McClure Maverick. We should be Encouraging because supporting each other helps us achieve our goals, even when it sometimes seems too hard to succeed. Next is Excellence; if we strive to do our best, things that we thought impossible become much more likely. If we approach things with Enthusiasm, even the most challenging situations can have a positive impact on us and those around us. Finally, there's Ingenuity. Thinking outside the box and seeking creative solutions to problems, ingenuity empowers us to accomplish almost anything. From the start, Mavericks were meant to meet the world with strength and excellence!
