Question: What does “student success” mean to you?

Answer: “Student success means more than just academic achievement—it’s about nurturing the whole child. It includes growth in character, confidence, critical thinking, and a strong sense of belonging. When students feel safe, valued, and supported, they’re empowered to take ownership of their learning and pursue their goals with resilience and purpose.”

Question: Under your leadership, how will you build on the school’s successes?

Answer: “My goal is to honor and build upon the great work already happening at Griffin. I plan to listen first, engaging with teachers, students, and families to understand our strengths and areas of opportunity. From there, we’ll work together to amplify what’s working and strategically innovate where needed. I’ll focus on fostering a culture of collaboration, data-informed practices, and continuous improvement while also celebrating our wins along the way.”

Question: What role do parents and the community play in supporting student success?

Answer: “Parents and the broader community are essential partners in the success of our students. When we build strong, two-way communication and actively involve families in the life of the school, students benefit. Community partnerships can also provide enrichment, mentorship, and real-world learning experiences. Together, we create a support system that extends beyond the classroom and shows students that their growth and success matter to all of us.”

Question: What do you like most about being an educator and school leader, and what is your favorite memory as an educator?

Answer: “What I love most about being a principal is seeing the impact we can make on a child’s life, not just for a moment, but for their future. One of my favorite memories is when a former student returned to share how something as simple as a hallway conversation gave them the confidence to apply for a leadership role. It’s a reminder that every interaction matters and that as educators, we’re shaping lives every single day.”

Question: Outside of school, where might parents and students find you?

Answer: “In my spare time, you’ll often find me spending quality time with my family, trying out new restaurants, or planning my next travel adventure. I have a deep love for exploring new cultures and have been fortunate enough to visit over 40 countries. Travel inspires me—it broadens my perspective and helps me bring fresh ideas into my work with students and staff. I also enjoy taking in a college football game on the weekends and finding little moments of joy in everyday life.”
