From student scholarships and awards to staff appreciation events, the support LGE Community Credit Union provides Cobb Schools continues to grow. During the 2020-2021 school year alone, LGE has given more than $230,000 to the District in the form of individual school partnerships.

“The Cobb Schools Foundation is a proud partner with LGE. We are honored to steward the many gifts they provide to lend towards our mission of taking student success to new heights," said Felicia Wagner, Cobb Schools Foundation Executive Director.

Each year, LGE awards a $5,000 college scholarship to a Cobb student. The community partner also selects a Cobb athlete for the $1,000 "LGE Extra Credit Award.”

High School staff across the District have been able to enjoy faculty breakfasts thanks to LGE donations. Cobb staff also benefit from other donations and educator giveaways throughout the year.

In appreciation of Cobb educators’ dedication to strengthening the community through student success, the credit union offers additional banking specials to educators and students.

"I appreciate that LGE has supported special events in the past that have helped provide students with scholarships, learning interventions, and assist in providing family stabilization grants to our families," Ms. Wagner added. "Community partnerships are critical to K-12 education and enhance the overall learning experience our students have during school and beyond.”
