The Chairman's Brief: Setting the Educational Environment
SHARE
In this week's episode, Mr. Scamihorn discusses school and community climate with Pine Mountain Middle School principal David Nelson.
Mr. Nelson has been in education for 30 years and has worked with nearly 30,000 middle schoolers over those years. Originally from northern Arkansas, Mr. Nelson began his teaching career there and has since come to Cobb. In fact, Mr. Nelson was Mr. Scamihorn's boss before he retired from education.
Mr. Nelson believes that a school is much like a garden, and just as a gardener maintains healthy soil to grow fruit and vegetables, students need a healthy environment in which to learn and grow.
