The Chairman's Brief: STEM and STEAM with Dr. Sally Creel

On this episode of The Chairman's Brief, Mr. Scamihorn talks all things STEM and STEAM with Dr. Sally Creel, Cobb's Supervisor of STEM and Innovation.
Dr. Creel has been with the District for 17 years and over STEM and Innovation for the last 7. She was a military kid and grew up in Italy. Before coming to Cobb, she taught classes in both Bartow and Paulding County.
STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEAM is Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Both programs are ultimately about creative problem solving that involves each discipline. The difference between STEM and STEAM is mostly applicational, but both are comprehensive approaches that teach students to think and work across subjects.
