Sweet 16-Day One: 5 of 8 Cobb Teams Into Elite 8

In a very full day of Cobb playoff basketball yesterday (2/25), eight teams took the court in Sweet 16 games to continue the dream of a state championship. Five of those eight will move on, but three had their seasons ended.
In 7A, five Cobb Schools teams played their second-round games on Friday. Pebblebrook and Walton boys will play tonight (2/26) to make it seven teams overall representing Cobb Schools in the state contention.
-Campbell Girls beat West Forsyth, 56-42, to advance to the Elite 8. They will play Cherokee.
-Harrison Girls beat Woodstock, 55-48. They advance and will play Grayson in an Elite 8 round game.
-Hillgrove Girls lost to Cherokee, 55-46.
-Hillgrove Boys lost to Berkmar, 71-53.
-Pebblebrook Girls beat Collins Hill, 61-42. They advance and will face the winner of today's game between Archer and Lowndes.
In 6A, five teams represent Cobb Schools. Three played last night and two advanced to the Elite 8 round.
-Kell Girls beat Langston Hughes, 57-50. They will play Rome in the next round.
-Sprayberry Girls lost to Lovejoy, 53-69.
-Wheeler Boys beat Westlake, 63-62. They advance and will face Grovetown in the Elite 8 round.
Four games are scheduled for today. In 7A, Walton Boys host Archer at 6PM, and Pebblebrook Boys host Collins Hill at 7PM. In 6A, Kell Boys travel to Tucker and Osborne Boys travel to Langston Hughes.
