September 8, 2026 — As the “boys of fall” battle together across the district, families are united around Cobb Schools stadiums. Certainly, family units are represented in the bleachers, but there’s a band of brothers on the football fields that often draws extra attention. These teammates, with built-in loyalty and accountability, are pushing each other to raise the bar as they lead teams into Friday night competitions.

Numbers of Brothers

By now, football fans around the state have heard of the Peacock brothers — junior quarterback Christion and sophomore wide receiver Jordan — putting up big offensive numbers for the Walton Raiders. Christion flashed 2,370 all-purpose yards and eight rushing touchdowns last season. Many of his passing yards went to his younger brother Jordan, who pulled in 49 receptions for 611 yards and four touchdowns as a freshman. Some might say they’re the “Brothers in Stiff-arms.”

“Christion and Jordan Peacock are important to Walton not only for football but as leaders in the hallways,” Walton Athletic Director Chris Jones insisted. “Christion is more outgoing and vocal than Jordan, but they both are extremely high-character young men who lead with actions and words.”

Equally offensive, in a good way, are the Lassiter Trojans’ wonder twin wide receivers, seniors Collins and Dalton Price. The two-sport stars are the heartbeat of the Trojan passing game, using their athleticism to stretch defenses. Football is Collins’ focus, earning Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State Team honors last season on the strength of nearly 1,200 all-purpose yards, 75% of that in receiving yards. Dalton, whose main sport is basketball, is a perfect complement to his brother on the gridiron. When the Trojans’ twins take the field together, the defense doesn’t know which Price to tag.

Lassiter Head Football Coach Dr. Sean Thom appreciates the value these Prices bring both on and off the field.

“The Price brothers are exceptional young men,” Coach Thom stated. “They are leaders of men and role models for those on our campus. They both show others how to get things done the right way on and off the field. They are not too big to grab a broom and clean the field house, which says a lot about their character in today’s age. I expect them to have huge seasons this year and contribute in all three phases of the game. They will be relied on heavily this year in many different roles, and I expect them to continue to grow into uncommon men who use this game to change lives and make others around them better.”

Brothers Bond to Defend

One way to cover twin receivers might be to assign twin defensive backs to the task. The McEachern Indians have just the pair to take that kind of challenge. Junior ball-deniers Cole and Quinn Pollock are helping to lock down the second level of an Indians defense that allowed a total of only 261 yards passing in the team’s first two games of the season.

McEachern Head Football Coach Kareem Reid notes this pair is worth watching because opposing receivers have to wear them like a brotherly glove.

“The Pollock twins both possess great size along with physicality at their positions,” Coach Reid said. “They have position versatility and can also hurt opponents when the ball is in their hands.”

Double Dose of Buccaneer Brothers

The Allatoona Buccaneers also have a set of twins in their defensive backfield. Senior leaders Landon and Nate Ortega are multi-sport athletes with high expectations for their final high school football season. Landon earned Second Team All-Region as a defensive back last season and relishes his role as the team’s padlock cornerback. Nate roams the secondary looking for the next receiver he can detach from the football. Together, they have given new Allatoona Head Football Coach Paul Carter a reason to see promise in his defense.

“Having brothers who understand each other and the chemistry they provide is especially valuable to our team,” Coach Carter explained. “Their relationship helps create deeper unity within the entire team. Both players have a hungry mentality and are ready to attack adversity head-on.”

The Buccaneers’ harmony on defense is helped by another set of brothers. Senior linebacker Aidan Dupree and junior safety Roman Dupree strengthen Allatoona’s football family ties that face opposing offenses. Aidan, who also earned Second Team All-Region honors last year, is a clear leader on the team and will be an essential factor in helping his team end a three-year drought from postseason play.

“The Dupree brothers bring a strong work ethic to our team,” Coach Carter added, “and that makes everyone around them better. The standard that both brothers hold themselves and adhere to is very high, and they challenge the players around them to raise their level and meet those expectations.”

Brothers on the Rise

For the Osborne Cardinals and Head Football Coach Derek Cook, sophomore twins Khalani and Khalen Truell are brothers that the program looks forward to developing into major contributors on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Khalani is a running back and safety, while his brother Khalen plays wide receiver and cornerback for the Cardinals. Pulling double duty for this duo speaks to the grind and grit both brothers display.

“They both have tremendous work ethic and pride in what they do,” Coach Cook emphasized. “They show it in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field. They set a great example for the other players on our team by the way they go about their business. They are quiet workhorses. You don't hear anything from them, but you see their leadership, effort, and passion for the sport every day.”

Excelling in football isn’t for everyone and their brother, but these sibling pairs prove that success in the sport can be a source of family pride and another reason Cobb student-athletes are Built for Beyond.
