March 13, 2026 — Top-performing seniors from across Cobb County were recently honored during the 60th Annual Student Teacher Achievement Recognition Program (STAR) Banquet, hosted by the Metro Marietta Kiwanis Club.
The STAR program recognizes high school seniors with the highest SAT scores and grade point averages at their school. Each student selects a teacher who made a significant impact on their academic journey to be honored alongside them.

The program is sponsored by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and was launched in 1958 by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
