March 24, 2026 — For five decades, Dodgen Middle School has been a place where curiosity grows, innovation thrives, and students build a strong foundation for the future.
The school community came together to celebrate a major milestone: Dodgen’s 50th anniversary. More than 500 guests filled the hallways for the “Dodgen Through the Decades” celebration, combined with the school’s annual STEM Night. The evening was filled with connection, discovery, and pride. Families, alumni, former staff members, district leaders, and future Dodgen students experienced how the school has evolved over time while continuing to lead in science, technology, engineering, and math education.

From the moment guests walked through the front doors, they were taken on a journey through time. The school’s main hallway transformed into a living timeline, showcasing six distinct decades of Dodgen’s history. Each section highlighted the changes in instruction, technology, and student life that have shaped the school since it first opened its doors. While the past was celebrated, the evening’s energy was rooted in hands-on learning. Classrooms and shared spaces came alive with family-friendly STEM activities that engaged students of all ages. These interactive experiences gave visitors a glimpse into the innovative teaching and learning happening at Dodgen today.
Three former principals — Diane Ray, Robin Lattizori, and Phil Wikes — returned to celebrate the milestone alongside current school leaders. They were joined by former teachers, students, and parents, all coming together to honor the legacy they helped build.
Throughout the evening, guests captured memories at a photo booth, enjoyed refreshments, and reconnected with familiar faces. Every detail was designed to create a welcoming, celebratory atmosphere that reflects the pride the Dodgen community feels in its school.
