Summer Learning Fun at Bryant Elementary's STEAM Camp

June 11, 2026 — Even during the summer months, students continue to learn in fun and engaging ways in Cobb Schools.

At Bryant Elementary School, students from all grade levels had the opportunity to participate in a two-week STEAM camp

The camp focused on four cities across the country, teaching students about each city's architecture, cuisine, culture, art, and other historical facts.

The camp centered on New York City, Houston, Chicago, and Atlanta. At the end of the two-week camp, students performed for their families to showcase what they learned.

"The best part about today is just seeing the families come in and seeing the products that the scholars were able to develop over this two-week camp. The scholars did the cooking, they did the developing, they did the STEM activities, and they were the ones who designed this whole activity for today. So just seeing the families come in and enjoying this, the product of the hard work, is a great opportunity here," said assistant principal Dr. Anthony Cayetano.

During the end-of-camp performance, students performed songs and dances representing each city, prepared foods reflecting each city's culture, and showcased handcrafted models of key landmarks.

"I enjoyed it so much. Like the energy and everything. It was just so fun," said a grandparent in attendance.

Although this is the first year Bryant Elementary hosted the STEAM camp, school leaders hope to continue the program in the coming years to engage families and provide students with a fun way to learn during the summer.
