Learning Health and Wellness Through Cobb's Health Fairs

March 16, 2026 — Across Cobb Schools, you'll see health fairs taking place to promote healthy lifestyles for students both in and outside the classroom.
Campbell Middle School and Griffin Middle School recently hosted their annual health fairs, where students learned practical ways to stay healthy.
At Campbell, the focus included both mental and physical health. Inside, students set up table displays that educated classmates about mental health.
"It's really cool because it feels like we can help people and reach them," said Campbell Middle School 8th grader, Grace.
Whether it was calming music, drawing, journaling, yoga, or learning ways to relieve stress, students at Campbell Middle School had plenty to explore.
Outside, students threw footballs, walked around the track, jumped rope, and kicked soccer balls to stay active and healthy.

While music played, students could play basketball, jump in bounce houses, create chalk art on the ground, and stay active with friends.
"Reading is important. Math is important. But without health, it's hard to succeed in those things. So, we want our students, teachers, and staff to celebrate health and wellness and to be healthy so they can be the best they can be in whatever they want to be," said Griffin Middle School teacher Adam Mullis.
In addition to activities, several community partners teamed up with Griffin Middle School to provide resources to families.
The American Heart Association, Rooted Health, Georgia WIC, and several other groups were there to help.
