Language proficiency and intercultural communication are must have skills in today’s world. Cobb County world language programs are designed to equip students with these skills and facilitate their development as culturally and linguistically competent global citizens.

Mission
The mission of the Cobb County School District World Languages Department is to support and serve its diverse community by facilitating the development of culturally and linguistically competent global citizens.
Vision
The vision of the Cobb County School District World Languages Department is to offer comprehensive world language instruction at all levels in order to prepare multilingual students who value cultural diversity and contribute to a global society.
The electronic translation service is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
