Courtney is passionate about supporting and collaborating with teachers, schools, and families in meeting the cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of all students.
Phyllis Joyner is a Special Education Program Supervisor that supports the Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Emotional, Behavioral Disorder, and Transition Programs. Phyllis has experience supporting students at the local school and district level for over 22 years. She has served Cobb County School District as a Haven Academy self-contained teacher in the GNETS program, Interrelated special education teacher, Special Education Lead Teacher, Education Program Specialist, and Special Services Administrator. In addition, Phyllis has served on the Cobb County Parent Engagement Committee. Phyllis is extremely vehement about supporting educators to create unique, learning opportunities to enhance student academic, social, and emotional maturation.
