Pre-K Registration

May 29, 2026 — Families in Cobb County can now prepare for the 2026-27 Georgia Pre-K application process. Registration is open, and applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on June 10, 2026, to be included in the initial enrollment lottery.

Children who are residents of Cobb County and are four years old on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to apply.

This year’s Pre-K program will be available at two locations:

  • Dowell Elementary School in Marietta
  • Kennesaw Elementary School in Kennesaw

Parents may choose either location during the application process. Transportation is not provided, so parents are responsible for getting students to and from school. Both sites will also offer an after-school program.

How to apply:

Families new to the Cobb County School District must create an account through the district’s Online Registration system, while currently enrolled families can add their Pre-K student through ParentVUE. Because space is limited, all eligible applications submitted before the deadline will be entered into a lottery. Families will receive notification of acceptance or waitlist status by email during the week of June 15, 2026.

To complete registration, families will need several required documents, including proof of residency, immunization records, screening forms, a certified birth certificate, and a Social Security card.

Parents interested in learning more are encouraged to gather documents early and complete the application before the deadline to maximize enrollment opportunities.
