April 14, 2025—The Georgia Department of Education has several important new programs for students needing a little extra help with their classwork. The GaDOE will officially launch its new GaTutor site on April 16, so students can take advantage of tutoring opportunities seven days a week! Powered by Georgia Virtual Learning, the site will provide content expertise in one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored for each individual student.
You can find directions for accessing the GaTutor website here.
GaDOE is also partnering with Varsity Tutors for an informative webinar on April 16 called "Helping Students Realize: Yes, You Are a Math Person." The Varsity Tutors website also has many archived webinars available, including ones on college admissions, test taking, reading strategies, and more.
Cobb families are invited to check out each of these free resources for more information and make plans to attend the virtual learning sessions available through GaDOE.
