Cooper

Middle School

Cooper connects academic learning with the world beyond the classroom, giving every student access to STEM enrichment. A focus on student voice and relationships helps middle schoolers explore their interests and contribute to their community.

Connect ideas to real projects

STEM Connections classes open paths into engineering, communications, healthcare sciences, and the arts. All Cooper students have access to STEM enrichment, while the separate STEM Academy has math-placement requirements.

Ready for whats next

Advanced content and high school credit opportunities challenge students who meet placement requirements. Ask about a course plan that matches your child’s preparation, interests, and available openings.

Make music together

Band, orchestra, and chorus give students opportunities to learn, rehearse, and perform with others. Ask about course placement and spring openings before planning around a particular ensemble.

Have a voice

The Principal’s Student Advisory Board and counselor-led groups encourage leadership and relationships. Cooper Middle School also recognizes students who demonstrate A.I.R. (Accountability, Integrity, and Respect) in their school community each day.

National wellness recognition

Cooper was named one of America’s Healthiest Schools in 2026, recognized for school health services, physical activity, and family and community engagement.

STEM with an established foundation

Cooper’s STEM Academy earned local certification in 2016 and state and AdvancED certifications in 2017. The Academy combines subjects through engineering-focused learning.

Math learning recognized

Recognized in 2026, Georgia named Cooper Middle School a 2024-25 Math Leaders school.
