Cobb Schools Announces 2021 Commencement Schedule

Cobb seniors now know the date when they can turn their tassels as members of the Cobb Schools Class of 2021. The Commencement schedule and details are posted here. Ceremonies begin on Monday, May 24, and continue through Friday, June 4, at McEachern High School's Cantrell Stadium.
As the second-largest outdoor venue in Cobb County, edging out Fifth Third Bank Stadium at KSU by approximately 1,000 total seats, Cantrell Stadium will be able to safely accommodate the graduates and their guests while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact education and in-person events.
Following the Department of Public Health's guidance, social distancing and masks will be required in the stands and on the field. The District will outline additional safety protocols in early May on the commencement page linked below. The page will also be updated with more information on the venue, parking, and streaming.
The 2021 schedule uses the same general structure as used in 2020 because there is no indication that the impact on in-person events will change significantly before the end of the current school year.
There is a break in the schedule on Sunday, May 30, and Memorial Day on Monday, May 31. One evening ceremony is scheduled each day from Monday, May 24 to Wednesday, May 26—the last day of school. Starting Thursday, May 27, two ceremonies will take place each day: a morning ceremony and an evening ceremony. If any ceremonies are postponed due to inclement weather, Saturday, June 5 has been reserved as a make-up day for up to two ceremonies.
Tickets will be limited due to public health guidance. Individual high schools will provide specifics about ticket allocations and distribution in late March. To accommodate family and friends who are unable to attend, the District will stream each ceremony live.
