South Cobb High School didn’t waste any time finding a new head coach for their football program. It was announced last month that Terry Jones would be parting ways with the Eagles and now, less than two months later, the school has made its decision for his replacement. Thomas Hanson, currently an assistant coach at Harrison, will be the new head coach for the Eagles’ 2021 season.
A 24-year coaching veteran, Coach Hanson has been in education for two decades. Before Harrison, he was also a coach at Marietta High School. He had first-hand experience at those two schools with the South Cobb program and always admired what he saw. “I saw great potential when I coached against them,” he said.
