International Student Services - New Students

The International Student Services office conducts English language proficiency screenings for enrolled students in grades 6-12 who indicate a language other than English on any of the Home Language Survey questions. The Cobb County School District uses the WIDA Screener to determine language support eligibility (ESOL services) for students.

For high school students, an international transcript evaluation is completed by the International Student Advisor to review course credits earned and make recommendations on grade placement based on documentation provided by the enrolling adult.
