Every year each high school in Georgia selects their STAR student to represent their school. The criteria to be selected for the STAR student are to be in the top 10% of the senior class and to have the highest SAT score from a single testing administration. The STAR student then selects their STAR teacher, who is the individual who has made the greatest impact on them.
Pope High School's STAR student for the 2021-2022 school year is Patrick Astorga. Patrick has selected his 8th grade Science teacher from Hightower Trail Middle School Amy West as his STAR teacher. Congratulations to both Patrick and Ms. West! We are proud that you will represent Pope High School this year!
