If you are interested in starting a new club, applications will be open during the months of December and April. Contact Mr. Fisher with any questions about the application process.

Before beginning the application process, please review the following:
- Is your application for a Club or an Organization?
- A school club is a group of students with common interests, goals, and purpose. Clubs are under the sponsorship, direction, and control of the school. Clubs may be either curriculum or non-curriculum-related groups and do not hold any particular religious, political, or philosophical beliefs.
- A student organization is a student-initiated, student-led, non-curriculum-related group. Student organizations may include, but are not limited to, groups that hold particular religious, political, or philosophical beliefs. All members of a student organization under the age of 18 must submit signed parental consent to the faculty organization monitor to participate.

- AP Equality Tutoring Club
Promote AP classes to 8th graders and current high school students as well as provide tutoring to current AP students.
- Baseball Data and Analytics Club
To use modern analytics to improve team performance and allow students to apply math and computer science concepts.
- Bio Club
To recruit, support, nurture, and promote students with an interest in biological sciences. Meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month @ 7:45 am, afternoons as needed. More info: https://popebioclub.weebly.com/
- Chemistry Club
To help expand students' knowledge of chemistry through fun and educational experiments and review sessions.
- Chess Club
To promote strategic thinking, critical analysis, and friendly competition through the game of chess. Open for students of all skill levels to learn, practice, and improve their chess skills while fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship. Meets Tuesdays after school from 3:30 - 4:15 in room 97.
- Computing Club
Computing Club seeks to spread and facilitate a love of computer science and public service among students of Pope High School.
- Crafts for a Cause Club
To get students of Pope High School to engage in their local community by making and sending crafts to hospitals, refugee children, and for soldiers in the military.
- Creative Crafters Club
To immerse/teach students in an unpressured art environment in which creativity is valued and supported through different mediums. Club website
- Creative Writing Club
Students practice writing in different genres and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
- Crochet and Knitting Club
Creating a community for people who enjoy yarn arts
- Cultural Appreciation Club / Organization
Focuses on celebrating, preserving, and educating students on the cultures of the minority population in America, and together the club serves as a large unifying faction for the Pope student body.
- Debate Club
To support and inspire a diverse community of students who are committed to empowering others through speech and debate. Meets every Friday from 3:30 - 4:30.
- Dental Club
Provide a platform for students interested in the dental field including academic discussions, community involvement, and service projects.
- DECA Club
Preparing students for college and a broad range of business related careers by fostering the development of skills such as leadership, problem solving and collaboration through a series of conferences and competitions throughout the year. Meets every three weeks on Tuesday mornings at 7:50 am.
- Drama Club
Drama Club is a social club that provides opportunities to explore their interest in theatrical arts. The meetings will include theater games and activities, guest speakers, and special workshops. Meetings are on Fridays from 3:30 - 5:00. Learn more.
- EASIA Organization
Teach students about Asia's culture, history, and traditions.
- Environmental Club
Raising awareness about environmental issues, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging positive environmental action within the community.
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) / Organization
To present to coaches, athletes and students, as well as all whom they influence, the adventure of serving Jesus Christ in the school, church and community.
- Fencing Team / Club
To build a community of fencers, foster teamwork, good sportsmanship, and to learn to deal with pressure that comes from individual competition. Fencers compete in up to nine tournaments throughout the season.
- Film Appreciation Club
To discuss and analyze a variety of films from different times and cultures. Meets every other Tuesday, 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
- Fishing Club
Participation in local fishing outings for fun, grow understanding of fishing techniques, raise local environmental awareness. Meets on Wednesdays at 2:15 pm once a month.
- FLOP Club
Promote acceptance and appreciation of world languages and cultures. Meeting dates vary, but we have 5 whole group meetings, 1 leadership appreciation meal, 5-10 leadership meetings throughout the year.
- Gaming Club
The gathering of students with a common interest in games. Searches and investigates new games or gaming events.
- Gay Straight Alliance / Organization
Forum to bring different cultures together and understand different sexual orientations. Meets every other Monday 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
- German Honor Society
National Honor Society for German students. No meetings.
- Girls' Bible Study / Organization
To encourage and inspire young women to go into the world as sisters in Christ's Holy Name. Meetings are at 7:40 am every Tuesday.
- Girls in STEM / Club
To encourage and support girls of Pope who are interested in STEM careers. Meetings are at 7:40 am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
- Glow and Create Club
To educate students on dermatologist recommended skincare through fun interactive lessons followed by hands on crafts such as decorating containers for moisturizers or making holders for sunscreen to blend science, creativity and self care in an empowering way.
- Governor's Honors Program (GHP)
Summer program sponsored by state legislature; application only.
- Greyhounds Aiding Ladies Supplies (G.A.L.S.) Club
GALS mission is to spread awareness of problems facing women in poverty and to collect and donate necessities. Meets one morning a month in room 305.
- Guitar Club
To provide a place for guitar lovers to come together to play guitar and perform. Meetings are one Wednesday a month.
- Habitat for Humanity Club
Nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
- Hearts of Hope Club
To support and empower women in need by creating packages of essential items and to raise awareness about women's issues in our community.
- Helping Hounds Club
Helping animals in local shelters by raising funds, collecting needed items, and volunteering time at shelters.
- High Schools Against Cancer Club
To support the American Cancer Society by promoting awareness, fundraising and volunteering to create a community of students to fight cancer.
- History Bowl Team / Club
Academic competition team in the area of history.
- HOSA: Future Healthcare Professionals / Club
To develop leadership, service, and passion as a future healthcare professional.
- Humanitarian Club
Provides Pope students an opportunity to create opportunities to positively impact and connect with our community through selfless acts and the promotion of human welfare.
- Improv Club
Improv Club meets weekly so members can practice their improvisational theater skills through fun, interactive games. In the spring, Improv Club holds auditions for members to participate in the Variety Show and the Improv Showcase. Meets on Wednesdays during the 1st half of x-block.

To spread the ideals of Rotary and serve in our community. Learn more.
- Investing Hope Club
Our mission is to empower Columbian children, youth, and families to find a way out of poverty and discover hope through value-based entrepreneurship, savings, and financial management skills. Meetings the 1st Monday of each month 3:35-4:05 or as needed.
- Jewish Club (Jew Crew) / Organization
To promote religious acceptance by increasing our knowledge of others' religions and learning about their beliefs, life events, and celebrations and seeing each other's similarities, as well as gaining new friends. Morning meetings each month.
- Key Club
An international, student-led organization that provides service opportunities. Key Club values leadership skills, inclusiveness, and promotes character development. Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month before school. Learn more.
- Knittin' for Kittens Club
To make mats that animal shelters can use to give to their adopted cats. Meetings are the 1st Monday of each month at 7:40 am.
- Lemon Club / Organization
Provide a fun, intellectual community space centered around the various aspects of lemons. Meetings dates are TBD, location is room 90.
- Magic: The Gathering Club
To provide a space where students can play this popular card game. Meetings are every Thursday 3:30 - 4:45 pm.
- Math Club
A weekly get together for students who enjoy mathematical problem solving and exploring interesting questions outside of the math curriculum. We also participate in county math competitions along with other schools in Cobb. Meetings are every Friday from 3:30 - 4:30.
- Men's Bible Study / Organization
To help and inform boys in navigating high school in a positive way.
- Mock Trial / Club
To develop students' knowledge and skills in legal reasoning, public speaking, and courtroom procedures through stimulated trial competitions.
- Model UN Club
An authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, or other multilateral body, which introduces students to the world of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. At Model UN, students step into the shoes of ambassadors of countries that are members of the UN.
- Mountain View Tutoring Club
To develop a mentorship program for high school students to tutor elementary students at Mountain Vew on various subjects.
- Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) Club
To create an interest in math and represent our school and community as members. To participate in school improvement as well as community improvement projects. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:45 am or 3:35 pm.
- Murdock Tutoring Club
To provide tutoring to future Pope students in all areas to provide a sense of support and learning.
- National Art Honor Society / Organization
To inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Fridays each month at 7:45 am.

Serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:45 am.
- Neuroscience Club
To help students prepare for the Brain Bee and learn more about neuroscience topics. Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month in room 318.

Develop as individuals while being involved in community service projects.
- Orchestra Club
To enrich the musical culture of Pope students and community.
- Photoshop Club
To appeal to and help grow students artistic and creative abilities through a fun and engaging experience.
- Physics Club
To discuss topics on modern events in the physics world and their implications and to provide members with information on physics competitions. Meetings are Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 in room 93.

Building friendships between students with and without disabilities. We celebrate everyone's differences and focus on how we are all alike!
- Pope Library Ambassadors (PLA) / Club
To support the Pope Library Learning Commons and help create activities and programming for students. Meetings are the 2nd Friday each month at 7:45 am and afternoons as needed.
- Red Cross Club
Support local Red Cross events
- Science National Honor Society / Club
Honor high science performance. Meetings are every other month on a Tuesday or Thursday at 7:45 am.
- Science Olympiad / Club
National non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education. Meetings are Mondays 3:30 - 5:00.

To send cards and letters to seniors who may not be surrounded by loved ones or family. To make them feel seen, heard, appreciated, known and loved.
- Skills USA Club
To learn about and experiment with marketing techniques that 21st century businesses use every day. Meetings are during x-block 2:15 - 2:55 pm.
- Social Studies National Honor Society (Rho Kappa) / Club
To promote scholarship and to recognize academic excellence in social studies in secondary school environments and the community.
- Spanish Honor Society / Club
Policies of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
- Stock Market Club
To educate and give real life practice on investing in the stock market. Meetings on Wednesday morning every other week in room 213.
- Student Government Association (SGA) / Club

Pope student school leadership. Meets during x-block 2:15 - 2:55 and officers meet one AO each week.
- Tutoring Club
Designed for students to help other students struggling in classes. Students work one-on-one or in small groups with designated peers at the time and place (on campus) of their choosing. Learn more.
