Congratulations to Vimi Wang, winner of the 2023 AJC Cup for Pope High School. Vimi has been described as easily being one of the kindest human beings her teachers have ever met. She was taking dual-enrollment classes at Georgia Tech during her sophomore year while also being an outstanding member of the rigorous Globalization academy. She continued the work of her predecessor in keeping the crochet club going and joyfully teaches newcomers how to do basic stitches and she even brings snacks for each session. She has created a welcoming place for students who need to meditate through crafts.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Cup began in 1927 and is one of the oldest news organization award programs in the country. This prestigious award honors one individual, chosen by our school's faculty and administration, who best represents academic excellence, leadership, community service, and extra-curricular involvement.
