In this episode of The Chairman's Brief, Mr. Scamihorn talks with Cobb Schools' Supervisor of Instrumental Music, Dr. Chris Ferrell.

Originally from Ohio and a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Dr. Ferrell taught high school music in Texas before coming to Georgia. He started the band program at Hillgrove High School in 2006 and is in his eighth year as Cobb's Music Supervisor.

As a musician since fifth grade, Dr. Ferrell has been playing music for nearly 40 years. He believes music helps to teach lessons that students might not get in other classes, such as self-accountability, multi-tasking, leadership, and time management.
