Kennesaw Mountainfest coming April 2024

After how the community responded to the festival’s inaugural year, the Kennesaw Mountain High School community is gearing up to present Mountainfest 2 on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Cobb Schools Board Chair Brad Wheeler said, “I attended last year and am looking forward to a bigger and better Mountainfest!”

The community event, which includes free admission and free parking on the premises, will take place at Kennesaw Mountain High School, 1898 Kennesaw Due West Road, Kennesaw, GA. Cobb County School District, A-Team HVAC Services, and the Coca-Cola North Metro Bottling Company are some of the event’s Title Sponsors.

“Kennesaw Mountain High School is so excited to bring back Mountainfest this year. We strongly believe in showcasing our students’ talents, and this event provides one more opportunity to do so,” Kennesaw Mountain Principal Nathan Stark shared. “We look forward to the community having the opportunity to see our current and future Mustangs perform!”

Music performances include the Mariachi Buhos de Oro, Funk Cake, School of Rock, and groups from district-wide schools and dance studios.

“We are delighted for Mountainfest to be back featuring performances from schools across the district and the KMHS community. ‘The Mountain’ has a real community feel, and that makes it one of the best and most unique schools in Cobb,” noted John Floresta, Cobb Schools Chief Strategy & Accountability Officer.

Visitors will be able to explore foods from area vendors like Pisano’s Pizzeria, Yo Boy! BBQ and Fire & Ice Frozen Treats. Festival exhibits will highlight crafts, art items, and other services. In addition to an expanded children’s activities area provided by Bounce & Beyond, there will be a silent auction showcasing products and services from local businesses throughout the festival.

“We are excited for the opportunity to host the second annual Mountainfest in April,” shared Corey Futrell, Kennesaw Mountain Associate bands director. “To be able to showcase so many talented individuals in the fine arts is truly exciting, and we cannot wait to share this event with the entire Cobb County community. From multiple fine arts performances to great food, this will be a fantastic event for all families!”
